AADPL is an accredited histopathology research organization delivering high-quality tissue testing & diagnostic services to Tampa Bay physicians. We are part of a unique partnership of clinical (dermatology), scientific (research) and operational (histopathology laboratory) expertise, with a mission to better advance pathology services.
We are a full-service laboratory with high volume capacity yet remain focused on personalized customer service that helps clinicians create better outcomes for their patients every day. This is why each specimen receives careful attention by our laboratory staff.
We are continuously focused on innovation, finding new and better ways to manage the logistics of high-volume pathology testing. We always strive to improve capabilities to better meet our customers’ needs.

We Offer
Biopsies sent to our lab are processed in our state-of-the-art laboratory, overseen by our quality assurance program. For those cases that require more sophisticated tests, we can offer a comprehensive variety of immunostains, dual immunostains, special stains and direct immunofluorescence. All cases are interpreted by our board certified dermatopathologists, Dr. Iriana Belongie, MD, FAAD,
Dr. Charles Knapp, MD, FAAD, and anatomical pathologist Dr. Jack N. Gay Jr, MD.
EMR Electronic Medical Records
At our facility we are in a unique position as all relevant medical data and clinical pictures are available to our dermatopathologists through our electronic medical records. This enables clinical pathological correlation which enhances the quality of our care. Our rich and broad patient population exposes us to patients of all ages and many different ethnicities. This makes the practice of dermatopathology both unique and exciting.
