Hoka Nyanda, MD is from Nashville, TN, but originally a native of Tanzania, East Africa. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Kentucky University. She received her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN.
Dr. Nyanda completed both dermatology and pediatric residencies at the University of South Florida. During her dermatology residency she served as a chief resident for academic education.
Dr. Nyanda is double board certified in dermatology & pediatrics.
She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the Florida Medical Association.
Dr. Nyanda has published in peer reviewed academic journals and enjoys volunteering in the community to increase awareness for skin cancer, especially in the pediatric population.
Dr. Nyanda’s interests include pediatric dermatology, medical dermatology and cosmetic dermatology.
